Bhutan Darpan; March 17, 2015.

The Bhutanese American Sports Council (BASC) reported to Bhutan Darpan that the demise students, viz: Suk M. Rai and Chita Chuwan, were the future of Bhutanese American sports; they were good soccer players and ambitious youths. Bhutanese Referee and coach, Jitu Basnet from Tennessee said, “They had participated some tournaments and have left great impressions of sportsmanship. We will miss them in our upcoming 5th Annual Bhutanese Inter-States Soccer Tournament which is going to held in Nashville, TN in June 19-21, 2015.”

The board expressed their heartfelt condolence to the victims’ bereaved families and friends, and prays for departed souls to rest in peace in heaven. Also, requested all to pray that other two injured Bhutanese American students get recovered well and soon.

To console the mourning families the organizers of the 5th Annual Bhutanese Interstate soccer Tournament, Tennessee has appealed all to gather at the victims’ residence on 28th March 2015, at 12 pm. According to Certified Referee/Coach and 5th Annual Bhutanese Interstates Soccer Tournament’s host committee representative, Jitu Basnet, they have decided to collect some amounts to give to the concerned families. There is open appeal for all the well-wishers and friends from and around the state of Kentucky to get together on March 28, 2015 for mourning ceremony where they can also share their views about the upcoming soccer tournament of Nashville, Tennessee.
